The “Yale Football” bag charm marks the beginning of the Wayne Elliett collection. Created on a family trip in Charleston, South Carolina, it holds the story of a spontaneous coastal treasure hunt. With an idea and a few materials packed, I began assembling the first charm on the living room floor after a walk along Folly Beach. What began as a solo creative project turned into a shared memory as my family joined in, combing the shore with me to find the perfect shells.
By the end of the trip, I returned home with a gallon-sized Ziploc bag full of seashells, each one selected through the eyes of someone I love.
